It is very important for us to speak English because a common language throughout the world is English and English is a means to communicate with foreign people. I think that Ms. Miyawaki's opinion which there are few opportunities to use English in Japan is correct and to go abroad and to communicate with foreign people in English improve our English skills gradually. But the actual problems considered, we need much money to go abroad. All Japanese people don't necessarily go abroad to improve their English skills. Therefore, we must think about a way to improve our English skills in Japan.
I have already mentioned that we must change Japanese education to chage Japanese characters (for detailed of this, see Opinion on my HP). After I read Ms. Miyawaki's opinion, I think that we must change Japanese education to improve our English, too. I suggest some ideas to improve our English as follows.
Firstly, Japanese children should get an English education at an early stage because many Japanese people can't distinguish between ''b'' and ''v'' or ''l'' and ''r''. I think that Japanese people can pronounce an alphabet which it is difficult to distinguish by getting an English education at an early stage.
Secondly, foreign teacher should be introduced into the English education. In Japan, many English teacher are Japanese and they often speak Japanese in an English class. It is a bad point because Japanese children think that their English teacher finally speak Japanese and teach them the content if they don't understand the content in English. Therefore, English skills are improved remarkably because foreign teacher can't speak fluently.
Thirdly, I think that we should improve scholarship systems for those who go abroad to study. Some Japanese people can't go abroad to study because they don't have much money. As a result, some of them give up to go there because Japanese scholarship is inexpensive. I think that we should give those who want to go abroad to study more money than ever before.

In conclusion, Ms. Miyawaki's opinion is good but we should consider more actual problems. We could improve our English skills if my ideas which are mentioned above were introduced into the education in Japan. I hope to improve our English skills in the future.
